'eHealth' defines the concept of total integration of information technologies and communication technologies (ICTs) in the tasks of prevention, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring, and management of health and lifestyles. ICTs are thus becoming a new operator in the Health System, which, to be sustainable and respond to emerging needs, requires these tools. Barcelona will host this year, from 15 to 18 March, the 'eHealth Week 2010', an initiative that welcomes for the first time the High Level Ministerial Conference on 'eHealth' (High Level eHealth Conference ) and the World Conference and Exhibition of Health IT (WoHIT). 'The eHealth week 2010' promises to be the most prestigious event of the year at European level in the field of electronic health and is expected to draw over 2,500 attendees from around the world and more than 75 IT companies in the International Convention Centre of Barcelona (CCIB).
